RAIN OR SHINE

The show will go on.

We will have free water refill stations all over the venue and campgrounds. Please bring reusable water bottles or hydration packs.

For those moments when you don’t have your water bottle handy, we are continuing in our tradition of selling plastic water bottles for just $2 venue-wide.

Remember to stay hydrated, nourished, and well rested throughout the weekend!

SHOWERS

We will have showers in every campground. There will be a small fee to shower, except in Jurassic Glamping.

DO NOT TOUCH THE DINOSAURS

The Dinosaurs at Lost Lands have traveled millions of years into the future to be here. Please treat them with respect! While there are a few dinosaurs with saddles for sitting on with assistance from the Lost Lands team; touching, damaging, or physically interacting with all other dinosaurs in any way will result in being immediately escorted out of the festival.

FOOD

We respect the diet choices of Herbivores, Carnivores, and Omnivores. There will be delicious vegan and non-vegan options galore.

MERCH

On the way into the festival, you will pass through the official merch booth for Lost Lands, Excision, and many other artists on the lineup. We will also feature creative craft vendors from around the country in both the camping, and the festival grounds.

MOBILE CHARGING

This year we have 2 awesome charging options.

1. Grab a SWFTCharge mobile battery so you can charge on-the-go all weekend long. Compatible with all iPhone and Android phones including USB-C, as well as most vapes. You can pre-order here.

2. Rent a Mobile Charging Locker to store valuables and charge your devices all at once. Reserve yours here.

ENVIRONMENT

We are beyond lucky to have such a beautiful venue in Legend Valley. In accordance with the 3rd pillar of the Sacred Code of Lost Lands, “Leave No Trace,” we must all work together to minimize our impact on these grounds throughout the weekend.

Environmental Tips:

  • Bring plenty of trash bags for your campground
  • Always have two trash bags out, one for recycling and one for landfill
  • Avoid excess disposable plastic like cases of water bottles
  • Remove packaging from your camping gear before you leave for the festival
  • Clean up after yourself before leaving your spot

For our part, we will have garbage bins all over the venue, including recycling and compost bins in key areas. Please refer to the signage and be conscious of where you place your trash.

HARM REDUCTION

Medical staff will be available 24 hours a day to help in any situation, and they will not incriminate anyone. Do not hesitate to visit medical tents or reach out to any staff member or security member.

Remember to drink plenty of water throughout the weekend! Being active in the hot sun means paying extra attention to staying hydrated, nourished, and well-rested.

New In 2019: A Note from Excision

Lost Lands Fam,

Welcome to year 3!!! My biggest goal with Lost Lands has always been to create the best music festival experience possible for Headbangers worldwide, something we can all be proud to call our own as the Bass Music Community. One of the primary ways the Lost Lands team and I do that is by listening to your feedback through surveys, Facebook groups, social media comments, and direct messages. We take every bit of your feedback personally and work year-round to optimize, reimagine, and dream up new Lost Lands experiences for everyone who attends.

With all of the feedback we’ve gathered from 2017 and 2018, I want to start off by sharing some of the most exciting updates for 2019, most of which came directly from you, the fans!

CAMPING

In 2018, Lost Lands created the largest campground ever hosted at Legend Valley. It came with many challenges, but In 2019, we aim to massively improve the camping experience through these main focus points:

  • Significantly reduce entry wait times by introducing Wednesday Early Entry. This will spread out traffic flow over 3 days instead of 2 days, and it will give some people an extra day to hang and get settled. Although there will not be any stages open on Wednesday, we think it will be the perfect day to get set up, relax, meet your neighbours and catch up with old friends.
  • The “Dino Den” area is now being reformatted to include three different types of camping: Tent Only Camping, Tent-ready Camping, and Quiet Camping. This will allow for more people to camp closer to the festival than ever before, plus give Quiet Camping plenty of isolation from the other campgrounds.
  • We have also added a new area in the GA campgrounds for Tent-Only Camping. This area will be priced lower at $49 each to open up more camping spaces closer to the festival entrance and offer a more affordable camping option.
  • If you are looking for a more premium camping experience, we are now offering 2 different Jurassic Glamping options just across the street from the festival entrance. It’s an amazing central location with really cool amenities like power in your tent, actual beds or cots, and some will even get a private dinosaur tour before festival gates open!
  • We are bringing in a new logistics team to expedite camping placements and parking, with the goal of reducing wait times and managing traffic flow in and out of the campgrounds.

WATER

Since the inception of Lost Lands in 2017, we have always seen water as the #1 priority for the safety of our fans. Since year 1, we have, and will always cap water bottle prices at only $2 per bottle.

In 2018, we massively expanded our water coverage by drilling 10 brand new wells around Legend Valley, and we gave away over 150,000 free water bottles throughout the weekend on top of that.

For 2019, we’re turning our attention to improving the entire water station experience by investing in multiple layers of fail-safes in case excessively wet weather conditions lead to our water wells failing when they are needed most.

STAYING COOL

September at Legend Valley has shown that temperatures can vary unpredictably. We have moved Lost Lands 2 weeks later in the month for a better chance of avoiding extreme heat, but it is still important for you to be to be prepared for both hot days and cold nights. We encourage all of you to pack for all seasons and be fully prepared for whatever mother nature throws at us.

  • We will utilize natural shade and have more shade structures venue-wide to encourage everyone to take chill breaks from Headbanging whenever needed. Always remember to rehydrate and eat a balanced meal!
  • We will be bringing more shade structures to help all of you stay cool.

TICKETING

This year we sent out over 22,000 unique discount codes to Headbangers who registered their wristband last year. We are proud to offer this Loyalty discount to anyone who decides to come back for a consecutive year! If you missed out on registering your wristband last year, you will have the opportunity to register your wristband this year shortly after receiving it in the mail, which will insure you can participate in the 2020 Loyalty program.

SOUND CAMPS

The Sound Camps were the biggest new addition to 2018, and they were a huge hit. We loved seeing so many up-and-coming artists play their first festival and we can’t wait to continue this tradition.

We are improving the Sound camp experience by relocating it inside the main venue, where all of your favorite vendors, food and drinks are close by. That means when the main stages end each night, the Sound Camps will come alive inside the venue. You won’t have to walk anywhere!

PRODUCER’S DEN

If you’re a music producer, this year you can truly get schooled by some of the best minds in Bass Music including a dozen artists playing Lost Lands 2019. Plus, get tons of bonus items from sponsors like Icon, Serum and Splice. Learn more about the Producer’s Den here!

HOTELS & SHUTTLES

We are adding more Dino Express Shuttles to go between Legend Valley and Columbus so that they will depart more frequently throughout the weekend.

  • New Long Haul Shuttle stops have been added for 2019, including longer trips like Washington DC and New York City. These shuttles are cool because you can bring all your camping gear without paying for extra baggage like you would on an airline, plus you get to meet new Headbanger friends along the way!
  • You can book hotels through our new custom platform which lists every available hotel in the vicinity of Legend Valley. Prices are the same or less than if you booked through the hotel directly, we’re just showing you the best ones by price and location first.

Stay tuned for more announcements and upgrades as the festival gets closer!

Please continue to let us know your thoughts so we can continue making 2019 incredible! Just send an email to [email protected] – our team reads everything that comes in.

So stoked to bring you guys another amazing year of Lost Lands!
